I'm Mark, the proud Principal & Founder of WHAM Theatre Schools!

You may have watched our promotional video, and read the "About Us" section, which tells you about the WHAM model and my passion for the development of our younger generation through the arts. However, I'm sure you want to know a bit about my background and experience in the performing arts sector.

I've been a performer since I was 11, and was very lucky to have encouraging parents to support my journey in becoming a professional performing arts specialist.

My last role was with Universal Music UK as Head of School at Abbey Road Studios Institute. I was responsible for the training & development of the trainee engineers & music producers coming from all over the world to London to train at Abbey Road Studios.

Before this, I successfully ran several performing arts academies under the herald of TV Actress Pauline Quirke. I had 5 and a half years with The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts, and during my time there, opened 6 schools, and was responsible for the development of up to 350 students every weekend. I had the privilege of providing my students with opportunities such as Shows in London's West End, Trinity College Exams, Preparing them for Agency Castings, Film Making, Film Festivals and local showcases too.

I also am an experienced Entertainment Agent running a UK based agency and a trained Chaperone.

My specialism is Vocals, Keyboards and in Music Production. In terms of my experience, throughout my twenties I worked as a professional singer spending most of my weekends performing at Weddings, Functions, Festivals, Corporate Events and aborad for various entertainment companies in Europe. Alongside this, I would also lend my voice to adverts, record labels and produce Backing Tracks & Other Production Products for a varied amount of clients.

My training includes Grade V ABRSM Theory, BTEC Distinctions in Music Practise, a BA Hons in Commercial Music & Production at Canterbury Christ Church University, L3 PTTLLS Qualification, Child Protection Training, First Aid and other specialisms related to Performing Arts Education.

A few fun facts about me;  I am a gadget geek (love technology) and I love being in the sun!

As WHAM Theatre Schools grow, I hope you will enjoy being a part of this journey!

I look forward to welcoming all of our new students to the WHAM Family very soon!

Here's to Happy Performing!
